Liverpool Convention Bureau is seeking a proactive and organised Conference Assistant to help attract and secure national and international conferences, meetings and events for Liverpool City Region.
Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership (LCRDP), the Local Visitor Economy Partnership for the city region, has announced a new opportunity to join its Liverpool Convention Bureau team as a Conference Assistant.
The role offers the chance to play an important part in supporting the growth of Liverpool City Region’s business events sector while helping to strengthen the area’s reputation as a leading destination for conferences and business events.
Working within the Convention Bureau, the successful candidate will support conference organisers, venues, hotels, universities and industry partners to attract and convert conferences and events into Liverpool City Region. The position will involve managing enquiries, coordinating proposals, maintaining stakeholder relationships and providing operational support across a wide range of Convention Bureau activities.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Convention Bureau Manager, handling enquiries through the CRM system, preparing proposals and presentations, organising destination site visits and supporting attendance at trade shows, networking events and industry exhibitions. The role also includes working alongside venues, accommodation providers and suppliers to ensure a high-quality experience for clients considering Liverpool City Region as their host destination.
Liverpool Convention Bureau is part of LCRDP, which works with partners across business, academia, culture and communities to promote Liverpool City Region as a place to live, work, visit, meet, invest and study.
