Join this interactive webinar hosted by the Business Support Service at Liverpool City Council in collaboration with colleagues from the Corporate Procurement Unit.

Monday 22nd September, 10-11am

In 2025, LCC are developing a new Sustainable Procurement Strategy and is keen to engage with local SMEs to hear views on how we can support SMEs and local businesses throughout the procurement process. The Sustainable Procurement Strategy outlines Liverpool City Council’s (LCC) commitment to delivering efficient, effective, and ethical procurement practices that support the delivery of high-quality public services, achieve value for money, and contribute positively to our local community. Through the strategy, we aim to deliver quality and value for money solutions whilst generating social, economic and environmental value for the communities we serve.

In this webinar, we will discuss the national context, including the introduction of the Procurement Act 202,3, as well as local Strategy priorities and what this means for SMEs and local businesses. We will outline the thematic areas of the Strategy and outline our ambition to use procurement as an enabler for change across Liverpool:

1. Fairness and Equality
2. Environment
3. Society, Community & Economic
4. Compliance & Improved Service
5. Leadership

This event will conclude with an open Q&A session. We want to hear views and so encourage participants to submit questions either with the registration form or using the chat function during the event.

Places are limited – priority will be given to SMEs & businesses based in Liverpool, and those from the wider LCR area.
