HERE’S WHY YOUR TOURIST-FACING BUSINESS NEEDS LIVERPOOL CITY REGION’S FREE VISITOR ECONOMY MAPS – BOOK YOUR COLLECTION TO SECURE PRINTED COPIES!

If you could hand your customers a tool that enhances their visit, encourages exploration, and brings them right to your doorstep, would you? That’s exactly what the official Liverpool City Region Visitor Map offers and it’s available now for businesses across the region to collect and share.

Jackie Watson, Visitor Services Manager at Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership and a long-standing expert in the city’s visitor economy, has overseen the Tourist Information Centre for many years. She knows exactly what visitors need when they arrive and what businesses need to help them make the most of their stay.

“The map was created in response to real demand,” Jackie explains. “Visitors want something clear, easy to use, and packed with useful information. This map delivers all of that and more.”

A MAP THAT DOES MORE THAN SHOW THE WAY

This is the only official visitor map for the Liverpool City Region, produced in partnership with Visit Liverpool and the Combined Authority, and supported by Liverpool BID, Liverpool ONE and Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership.

Designed to be both practical and inspiring, the fold-out map highlights major attractions, hotels, shopping areas and transport hubs. It includes walking distances, QR codes for further information, and a handy grid reference system to help staff and visitors pinpoint locations quickly.

What sets it apart is its regional reach. From iconic City Centre landmarks to city region destinations like Shakespeare North, Port Sunlight Village and Adventure Coast Southport the map encourages visitors to explore beyond the obvious. “The back of the map shows the Merseyrail lines and what’s accessible outside the City Centre,” Jackie says. “It’s a brilliant way to show just how much more there is to discover.”

WHY IT MATTERS FOR YOUR BUSINESS

For hotels, attractions, restaurants and shops, the map is more than a guide, it’s a powerful engagement tool. Most visitor economy businesses are already featured, making it a natural way to show customers where you are and how to find you.

“Offering the official map shows that your business is part of the wider visitor economy,” Jackie adds. “It helps visitors navigate the city from your venue and demonstrates that you’re working in partnership with the region.”
