Latest figures out today show that last month more passengers chose to use Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) than ever before, with over 650,000 passengers from across the North West and North Wales using Liverpool during what has been the airport’s busiest ever summer.
These latest figures beat the previous monthly record set last year with 6% more passengers compared to August 2025 and highlights the continued growing popularity of the airport amongst the region’s travellers.
Over 4,000 flights operated to 80 destinations in 25 countries via Liverpool in August, with 7 of the top 10 busiest routes being to summer sun destinations. The busiest route however was closer to home with Dublin topping the list, whilst Alicante, Palma, Malaga and Faro were the top Mediterranean destinations.
