New date announced for Liverpool City Region Gay Pride Awards

This year’s LCR Pride Awards have been moved from February to April with the deadline for nominations extended. People now have more time to enter the LCR Pride Awards 2023 after the date of the event was changed and the nominations deadline extended. Liverpool City Council is delighted to announce that it has been recognised as being a fair employer after introducing several progressive employment practices. The Fair Employment Charter scheme – led by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority – recognises good employers who: pay the Real Living Wage; provide opportunities for staff to develop and progress; avoid insecure work and zero-hour contracts and negotiate with trade unions. FUNDING BOOST FOR GROUND-BREAKING “GREENER ROADS” PROJECT

A project to radically reduce the environmental impact of Liverpool’s roads has been given a multi-million pound boost. Liverpool City Council has been awarded £4m from the Department of Transport’s Live Labs 2: Decarbonising Local Roads competition, after successfully pitching an innovative idea to reduce the carbon footprint when designing and resurfacing roads.
