Liverpool’s status as a leading global destination has received a major boost after Panache Travel placed the city in its newly announced top ten world destinations to visit in 2026.
The recognition follows a recent luxury‑focused educational visit organised by the Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership, in partnership with VisitBritain. The trip brought high‑end Indian tour operators to the region to experience its premium cultural, hospitality and experiential offer, including Municipal Hotel, The Art School Restaurant, the Liverpool FC Stadium Tour and The Beatles Story.
Impressed by the breadth and quality of what they saw, Panache Travel has now confirmed Liverpool’s inclusion in its 2026 programme, helping to position the city alongside major international destinations such as Paris, Tokyo and Hanoi.
The move strengthens Liverpool’s growing profile within the luxury travel sector and is expected to deliver regular, high‑value business from one of the world’s fastest‑growing outbound markets.
James Wood, Campaign Marketing Manager for the Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership, said:
“Being recognised on a global stage by a luxury operator like Panache Travel is a fantastic achievement for Liverpool. It speaks to the quality and character of our visitor offer, and it highlights the momentum we’re building in key international markets. We’re proud to see Liverpool standing alongside some of the world’s most iconic cities, including Paris, Tokyo and Hanoi, and we look forward to welcoming even more high‑value visitors in the years ahead.”
The Liverpool City Region Destination Partnership continues to work with international travel trade partners to further bolster and grow awareness, demand and premium visitor experiences across the region.
