Royal Birkdale Golf Club will be hosting The Open for the 11th time in 2026. Since it first hosted the Championship in 1954, it has been the most regular venue to host the event, apart from St Andrews in Scotland.
As well as The Open The course has hosted many other great golf championships including the Amateur Championship, the Walker Cup, the Curtis Cup, the Ryder Cup and the Women’s British Open.
